Future proofing the reputation of a major global broker

The Need

Ahead of the sale of a major arm of the business and facing increasing reputational challenges and regulatory scrutiny, our client needed an in-depth understanding of their global brand reputation and position amongst existing and prospective clients.

Our Approach

Opinium conducted 800 telephone interviews with customers and prospects within asset managers, hedgefunds, investment banks, pension funds and FTSE 100 corporates, spanning 25 markets across APAC, AMER and EMEA.

The Outcome

Sponsored by the founder and chief executive of the business, the results from the research combined with internal research amongst employees was integral in supporting our client’s strategic initiatives and to optimise the strength of the brand. Our research was used to prove the value of the business ahead of the £1.28bn deal which resulted in the world’s largest broking provider.
