Informing the future European development strategy for a global manufacturer
The Need
Our client, a European-based kitchen appliances manufacturer were looking to quantify the growth opportunities for kitchen machine accessories to inform their future product development and marketing strategies.
Our Approach
Opinium designed a bespoke programme of research for four key markets to understand the value placed on different types of attachments; determine the role of attachments in the purchase journey and explore awareness and usage of specific accessories to inform the brand’s future NPD strategy.
The Outcome
The insight enabled our client to understand which accessories to promote in their product offering in each market, and which to include in a bundle offering. In addition, the results were used to inform the development of a new range of kitchen machine accessories, in a variety of colours and materials to increase their market share.
