Political Polling 8th August 2019
The Conservatives continue to steadily extend their lead over Labour in the polls, holding 31% of the vote share. They have gained 1 point since two weeks ago, to now take a 3 point lead over Labour (previously +2 lead). The Brexit Party takes 16% of the vote share while the Liberal Democrats have 13% of the share.†
Second Scottish Referendum†
On the topic of a second Scottish independence referendum, two fifths (41%) of the British public think that if requested, the UK government should allow the Scottish Government to hold a second referendum in the next 5 years, while a third (32%) feel they should prevent this from happening.
