Preventing Gambling Harms in Football Fans
On behalf of GambleAware and Freuds+, we ran a project looking at the football fans betting habits and attitudes of football fans ahead of the upcoming 2022 World Cup, and the potentials impact on fans in terms of potential gambling harms.
The study also looked at football fans attitudes towards the relationship between football and gambling, how such a relationship affects their betting behaviour and the consequences of this behaviour on bettors.
It also looked at how football bettors plan to control their betting behaviour during tournament and how their betting behaviour may change as a result of the cost-of-living crisis.
