Global women and money study 2021
Our research for Fidelity International looks at the experiences and views of women from the UK, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China, to understand and address the financial challenges they face. From how they manage their money and their attitudes towards investing, to the glaring gender pension gap and the impact the pandemic has had on their financial well-being.
While many of the challenges and experiences are universal, the UK findings show that women typically live four years longer than men but have 51% less in retirement savings. And just over two-fifths of UK women currently make active decisions about where to invest.
